Wolves confirm signing of Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare

Wolves have completed the signing of former Genk forward, Tolu Arokodare for a fee of £22.5 million on a four year deal.

Arokodare arrives with an exciting reputation of being a prolific goalscorer, scoring 21 goals in 36 starts last season, alongside 5 assists.

The new Wolves man states, “I’m happy to be here. I didn’t need convincing. I know the history of the club.”

Tolu arrives amid speculation of Jorgen Strand Larsen’s future at Wolves. However, it is unlikely that the Norwegian international will leave Molineux this season. Vitor Pereira now has his much requested depth at the top of the pitch, giving him the option for competition or a strike partnership.

Wolves have endured a tough start to the season, yet to pick up a point and only scoring two goals. Fans will hope that Tolu Arokodare can provide numbers, and that he will not be the last piece of business that Wolves complete on deadline day.
